“The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." - Socrates
Hello friends, today's issue is not centered around books or learning from them. Instead, we'll be delving into a fascinating aspect of human behavior that can either enhance your intelligence or leave you seeming less so.
A relative of mine who comes to our home often has a habit of speaking continuously and offering opinions on almost everything.
He is not a great storyteller you would love listening to; a good storyteller happens to be a good listener, but he is not.
During the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, President John F. Kennedy's ability to listen to the nuances of the situation and understand the unspoken messages from the Soviet Union played a crucial role in resolving the crisis peacefully.
I've observed that he has such an aura around him that no one in my family wants to talk to him for more than a few seconds.
This person might think that he is smart since he has an opinion on everything, but from afar, he seems like the dumbest person I have ever seen.
I don't like such people who don't share great ideas; they only share gossip and nonsense.
They love spreading advice and opinions as if they are experts on everything.
Benjamin Franklin was known for offering wise advice to those who sought it, but he also acknowledged his own limitations and practiced humility in his interactions.
Wise people always know that very few accept your advice, so they avoid sharing too much.
Give advice to your loved ones and to those who believe in you.
Otherwise, the best thing to do in your life is to
Keep quiet and let others speak.
“The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn't said." - Peter Drucker
Calmness will cover your mind like clouds gradually covers the sun.
Thanks,
Mohit
